SIR - Some two years ago we had the wonderful news of the much-needed traffic calming and improvement measures for Towngate, Wyke, a 20mph speed limit (should be 15mph!).
A mini-roundabout at Green Lane/Towngate junction, a mini-roundabout at Towngate/Huddersfield Road junction, extra road crossings and speed humps, all very much needed measures.
Earlier this year a legal notice appeared in the T&A to the Ministry to implement all this for road safety.
About 15 years ago I viewed a large, detailed plan done by Bradford planning office showing a roundabout at New Works Road/Abb Scott Lane junction.
This would give the much-needed ease for traffic, especially following the new health centre opening plus housing there at this regular accident spot.
Traffic hold ups here are considerable at times. South Bradford has never had its fair share of general improvements compared with other parts of the city. Why are we alienated?
To quote Prince Philip and to those in authority "Get your finger out", you may save someone's life.
