SIR – May I offer my apologies beforehand for the use of an inadequate cliche but may I express via your newspaper my sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the consideration, courtesy and perception I have received from the staff at the urology department’s prostate clinic at St Luke’s Hospital.
Along with many others I am unfortunately a regular attender at St Luke’s outpatients and the sterling qualities of the staff make a potentially daunting experience a far less stressful ordeal as a result of their professionalism and amiable demeanour.
As a registered disabled person with mobility issues I would particularly like to thank Brian, the male prostate clinic nurse without whose perception and invaluable assistance my disability would have been virtually insurmountable.
In closing I would like to add that I am certain from conversing with other patients that these sentiments are echoed in the thoughts of all concerned parties.
