SIR – Regarding the T&A’s views, comments column (April 18), I’M sorry T&A, but the Seabrook Crisps site has (as you pointed out) been vacant since 2004. If social housing was as desperately needed as you say, then why hasn’t the site been used for this within the last ten-plus years? Aldi will create around 40 jobs – much-needed jobs.
