SIR - Yes I watched the parliamentary debate where Tory MP Phillip Davies criticised Labour leader Ed Miliband’s call for MPs to be barred from taking second jobs (Letters, February 27).
Mr Davies secured his five minutes of fame and then mysteriously disappeared from our screens, which suggests he didn’t stop for the rest of the debate.
He also wants the BBC licence fee axed, he obviously believes strangely that the viewer would be better off paying more money for the likes of Sky and Virgin and yet the BBC is one of this country’s finest institutions and popular with many viewers.
What a publicity seeker!
