SIR - When are our so-called leaders going to grow a spine and deal in the only realistic way with the issue of so-calledBritish Nationals leaving this country to fight and support ISIS in the Middle East and, by association, harm this country?

If they are intent on carrying out this betrayal against us they should be allowed to go with the strict proviso that they do not return and surrender British citizenship along with cancellation of their passports.

Trying to de-radicalise these people is a complete waste of time and money, if ultimately they decide not to travel they will still retain there true feelings and simply do harm on home soil.

The vast amounts of money squandered on the current process would go a long way to strengthen our porous borders and stop the return of these would-be terrorists. It takes more than a passport to be British!
