SIR - My name is Herta Hübner (formerly Reinbarth) from Germany. I am 76-years-old and I am looking for my au-pair family, with whom I stayed from May 1958-1959.
The family name was Hopkinson and they lived at 6 Esholt Avenue, Guiseley. Unfortunately, over the years I have sadly lost contact with them, as they moved away from this address.
The father was called John G, and together with his father George, they ran a cloth factory and a fashion department store in Bradford. The mother was called Shirley. They had three children, Marc (born in 1955 or 1956), Richard (born around the beginning of 1959) and Gillian (born at the end of 1959). Marc was in Australia for a while and Gillian was working for a travel agency who booked hotels and B&Bs also in Germany.
