SIR - Being a born and bred Bradfordian I feel aggrieved about the lack of action taken over George Galloway’s speech regarding Bradford being an Israel free zone.
He does not represent me, he does not share my wishes and most of all he does not auger peace within the boundaries of Bradford. How dare he? I have friends in Israel and they are more than welcome to holiday here, live here, sell their goods here, and attend our academic facilities if they so wished.
I think he has abused his rights as an elected member and therefore should step down from his position before he is unelected at the next election.
Would he have spouted his anti-semitism during the Second World War? Does he deny the holocaust?
In the words of one philosopher, “What would happen if Israel had no rockets? No Israel. What would happen if Hammas had no rockets? Peace”.
