SIR – Last Saturday I took part in Keighley’s Day of Action against the TTIP. (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership).
It simply involved a few people from a wide range of backgounds handing out leaflets about this proposed trade deal between the EU and American corporate business.
More importantly though it involved us just talking to people out shopping.
Most of those we spoke to knew nothing about these negotiations and were disgusted by the way it was all being kept secret from the public. Nobody liked the idea of a future British Government being sued by a multi national company if it took any action or passed any laws that affected their profits.
Many were pleased to hear that they could find out a lot more on the 38 Degrees web site.
