SIR – Regarding the campaign to stop trees being cut down in Shipley (T&A, October 2).
Trees are OK in the right place, the pavements are for walking on. These trees are far too big, and if smaller ones are planted won’t they also grow big?
I feel sorry for the people who live in the almshouses in Shipley, where the trees are. They must be very dark with those trees in front, they are small little places anyway.
I wonder if any of those objecting live in them?
