SIR – Fantastic news from the T&A, Saturday, regarding Yorkshire Water’s new sludge treatment plant which enables them to generate electricity using human excrement.
Not only does it give them free electricity but also reduces their carbon footprint. A brilliant investment which will help climate change and reduce the risk of global warming.
However, may I suggest that your readers, when they have finished using electrical appliances, switch off the power at the electrical socket but leave the plug connected.
This will reduce the risk of pooey smelling electricity leaking from the socket. Being an electrical engineer, trust me, I know what I’m talking about.
