SIR – We are researchers at the University of Southampton and we would like to talk to people who have a friend or family member who has diabetes.
To help inform health policy The Health Foundation is funding research at the University of Southampton, in collaboration with the Universities of Leeds and London, to explore the experiences of people affected by diabetes.
We would like to invite you to a discussion group on Tuesday, October 21, 6pm-8pm, at the University of Leeds. The group will involve up to 10 people who are willing to talk about their experience of supporting a family member or friend who has had a diagnosis of diabetes. We would like a range of experiences and so if your family member/friend has recently been diagnosed, or was diagnosed many years ago, if they are type 1 or type 2 diabetic, and are over the age of 18, we would like to hear from you.
Emma Boger, E.J.Boger@soton.ac.uk or Jaimie Ellis J.Ellis@soton.ac.uk. Alternatively call our Freephone number 0800 0285 116.
