Swift action to move travellers to be applauded
SIR - We read in the T&A (August 19) that the travellers who invaded the Wesley Place football pitch on Thursday evening were moved on by the following Saturday because the police issued them with a Section 62 notice which gives them 24 hours to leave.
In the same article Councillor David Robinson said “It takes a week to get a court order”.
I would like to offer my congratulations to the police and at the same time ask why Section 62 notices are not issued on every occasion.
