SIR – Of the various Labour apparatchiks who contribute regularly to the debates on this page, I wonder if any at all realise how gullible they really are to fall for the constant stream of propaganda delivered by what in reality are professional agitators who previously were ‘special advisors’ to former Labour leader Gordon Brown who led his party to defeat last time.

These people once redundant at No 10 Downing Street have infiltrated many organisations with access to the media, eg, quangos – think tanks with grandiose quasi ‘official’ titles such as ‘institute’ or ‘commission’, and even charities often linked to children.

The truth is though that one or two things apart, eg, the NHS and welfare state, although that abused in recent times, and the minimum wage, Labour has been a disaster for this country every time in office since 1945, with others having to pick up the pieces when it always goes pear-shaped.

Tax, spend, borrow is all that Labour knows, how to actually make money in the first place is a mystery to them, with the deplorable state of the French economy under socialist President Hollande what ours could be like if people were ever daft enough to vote Labour back in.
