SIR - Early last year, Brahm the public relations company working for Bradford Centre Regeneration were permitted to display and distribute their Odeon consultation brochure at Council libraries and contact points.

When the Bradford Odeon Rescue Group, which had received Council accreditation to be involved in the Odeon issue, produced their own brochure, it was expected they would be afforded similar facilities.

With the support of two councillors, a request was submitted to the head of libraries on November 29.

The response was that he was unable to make a decision and advice would have to be taken from the interim iead of Council legal services to whom details were sent on December 8.

No decision having been made by December 21, the Council's chief executive, to whom both officials are responsible, was sent copies of the correspondence and asked to intervene.

To date no answer to the request has been received.

It is unfair that while a private company in the furtherance of a £1.15 million PR contract are afforded the full benefit of Council facilities, the request from a self-funded group of Bradfordians, whose only interest is to determine what is best for Bradford, is ignored.
