Question on costs
SIR – How come Maria Miller, who resigned as Culture Secretary, has only to repay £5,000 for wrongly claiming thousands of pounds against her housing expenses, yet former Deputy Speaker Nigel Evans has to pay his own costs of £130,000, even though a jury acquitted him of all charges?
I don’t know. Do you?
