SIR – Having the great honour and opportunity to hold a baking demonstration recently at the town’s Civic Centre, fundraising for one of mayor Coun Sally Walker’s personal charities, I just wanted to say what’s all the negativity around Keighley Civic Centre all about?
The people who work there were very polite and friendly. The coffee and snack cafe look very appetising and fresh with amazing fresh coffee and homemade cakes being served.
The function hall and bar was bright, modern and appealing with fantastic facilities to bake from. I’m sure the police museum will be the same, which I will make time to visit very soon.
Does the negativity come from people who have not visited the Civic Centre and don’t want it to succeed, I wonder?
