SIR – I question the propriety of Councillor Green charging the chief executive with writing a full report on the matter of ex-Councillor Flowers’s forced resignation in 2011.
The chain of command required that Mr Reeves’s staff should report directly to him so, surely, he was therefore aware of the true reason for Mr Flowers’s resignation?
The implication that the sole blame for this deceit lies with an ex-Council leader who was ejected from office by the electorate will not therefore wash.
