SIR – Re the story (T&A, November 14) headlined ‘It’s Sundown at Student Union’. Has the student populace at the University of Bradford got nothing better to do with its time than to get involved in such a pathetic debate about the portrayal of Page 3 girls in certain tabloid newspapers?
Lord, please give me strength! I must be getting old. I can remember a time when universities were academies of higher education and not just ‘cash cows’.
I can even remember when the university had a strong team competing in University Challenge each year.
My advice to the student union over this childish issue would be ‘leave it out’ and try to grow up.
