SIR – It’s gone beyond the joke now. It’s time the Government did something about the criminal justice system. It’s time all privileges were taken from prisoners. “Not enough jails, full up!” Well build some more. Build them on remote Scottish islands.
They committed the crimes so they will be punished, it’s as simple as that. I’m sick and tired of reading in the T&A of a felon given a suspended sentence and fined, he just goes out and does it again.
If there was a national vote to bring back hanging it would be ‘aye’. “You kill, you die.”
As for the youth of today, driving licences will not be issued until they are 21, and national service will be reintroduced for when they reach 17.
We’ve got to be hard on criminals, it’s the only way we’ll feel safe to go out of our homes.
