SIR – I see the old chestnut of a Super Council has come up yet again in spite of it being voted down under the guise of Regional Government.
If it is approved – and Labour love these things as it is more jobs for the boys, than rather like the Police Commissioners – they will want a chief executive and a deputy and countless other hangers-on for yet another ‘talking shop’ all at enormous expense to the local tax payers. They seem not to know when to stop!
