SIR – The proposed charge of £200 per year for health care for migrants seems minuscule to me, compared to the actual costs of medical treatment.
Everyone I know when travelling abroad takes out medical insurance as reciprocal arrangements don’t appear to work, or at the best are one-sided. No insurance – no treatment!
It makes sense to me to only treat anyone entering these shores who is able to show proof of medical insurance. No insurance – no treatment!
