SIR – We live in Thornton and we also had a large flock of Waxwings devour our red berry bushes last weekend and were very lucky to manage to take some nice photos of them before they flew away.

We have never seen Waxwings before, so we checked on the internet and apparently they come from Scandinavia and, according to the write up, it is a little unusual to see them so far inland, therefore we count ourselves very fortunate to have seen them even though it was only for a short time while they fed.
