SIR – Councillor Andrew Thornton tells us (T&A, April 8) that the recycling permit scheme is to save us money by excluding people from neighbouring authorities.
However, they want to use the site which is most convenient for their household location and if people from surrounding authorities use Bradford sites, then by the same token some Bradford residents will use theirs.
It appears that logical thinking rather than mindless bureaucracy is still at a premium in Bradford.
