SIR – No doubt some of your readers enjoy a good curry. Others will have an interest in Jowett cars, proudly produced in Bradford in days bygone. Some will be Jowett enthusiasts who also enjoy a curry, and it is these whom I particularly wish to engage.
On Tuesday, at the Sunrise Restaurant on New Otley Road, the Sherdil Luncheon Club will hold its monthly meeting. Between 12pm and 1pm, we shall eat, followed by talk by Frank Senior: ‘My Jowett Car – GAK 140’.
If any new faces would like to join us, we would be delighted to see you. The cost of the buffet lunch is £8, while the talk is free.
If you fancy coming, please call (01274) 592989, so we can cater for extra numbers.
For future reference, the Sherdil Club meets on the last Tuesday of each month, with a view to bringing together a cross section of Bradford’s rich diversity for a meal together followed by a talk.
John Cole, Oakroyd Terrace, Baildon
