SIR – When Jason Smith of UKIP claims that criminals will be exempt from the ‘bedroom tax’ while members of the armed forces won’t be, he fails to tell us if he supports this unjust tax in its totality or not (T&A, March 12).
The Government’s ‘bedroom tax’ is designed to have you evicted if you have a spare room. Thousands will suffer and may well lose their homes.
The Government ministers pushing through these proposals don’t just have an extra bedroom – they have at least one extra house!
