SIR – What with Ron Harding’s letter (T&A, February 21) and his continuing support of his like-minded fellow correspondent C Hindle, I feel to be on a ‘harding’ to nothing, infantile pun intended.
But who is he to say when a debate had run its course? Surely, sir, that is your prerogative and you might exercise it and not publish, perhaps, my last words on money creation.
Wealth is created, to a large part, through dealings in fiat money created by the Bank of England and other authorised enterprises, which do not include the high street banks.
