SIR - The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity solely dedicated to fighting lung cancer through research, patient care, campaigning and education. However, without the generous support of the public we would be unable to continue our vital work.

One simple way in which your readers can help us raise the funds we so desperately need is to support our mobile phone and printer cartridge recycling appeal. With an estimated 90 million redundant mobile phones in the UK and more than 30 million inkjet cartridges being dumped each year, the fundraising potential is endless.

So if you have any empty printer cartridges, old mobiles or PDAs, please send them in to The Roy Castle Recycling Appeal (EL), 31-37 Etna Road, Falkirk, FK2 9EG.

Companies can also help our recycling appeal - if you have a number of phones or cartridges in your workplace call on 08451 30 20 10 to arrange a free collection.
