SIR - As a customer affected by the Farepak collapse, I welcome the news of the Farepak Respond Fund, and any individual or company whose help will make a lot of people's Christmas that little bit easier.
I don't understand how MP Philip Davies's comments about pensions are relevant.
A lot of people affected are finding it hard to think about money for Christmas, never mind thinking about saving for a pension! It just seemed to me a very petty way of having a go at the government.
On a personal level, this could be good news for my autistic son. As well as giving money to Farepak, I was saving to buy a weighted blanket to use to calm him down when he is distressed, money that now has to go towards Christmas.
If, through this fund, it means I can get my son his blanket as well, it will be a very happy Christmas indeed!
