SIR – Bradford is once again ‘cut off’ from the outside world, the Tour de France begins in “capital of West Yorkshire” – Leeds, that place where everything passes through it; M62, M621, M1 and the East Coast line.

The Tour goes to York, Harrogate, Skipton, Keighley and Huddersfield. It seems to me Bradford doesn’t exist on the maps. The T&A says Bradford hotels are ready for mass bookings from cycle fans across the world. You are joking.

These people will have to hire cars in order to get to Ilkley, Otley and Keighley. The hotels in these places will do a roaring trade, not Bradford. Who exactly planned these routes and why isn’t Bradford included?

Why is it always Leeds, Leeds and Leeds every time? I’m sick of it.
