SIR – In reference to news item ‘Take extra care in bad weather’ (T&A, January 18), it would surely help if the grit bin on Valley Road into Otley Road in Shipley could be filled as it’s been empty for the last two years.
It’s a ten minutes away as a 77-year-old pensioner where I live. The proof being the bottom is bone dry; no signs of residue dampness from grit and still containing one plastic and one glass milk bottle that has not been moved since at least 2010.
