SIR – Recently, an elderly neighbour fell heavily while walking along a main road in Thackley, injuring his face and chin.
A passing dustbin crew came to his aid, cleaned his face, escorted him home and alerted a neighbour in case he needed further support. They are our local crew who offer us an excellent service in all weathers, so well done for going the extra mile. A pat on the back is well-deserved in view of the recent bad publicity.
