SIR – I don’t know where in Bradford Councillor Glen Miller lives (Letters, January 3), but we also have a Tuesday refuse collection and had very clear advice on the plans for collections over the holiday period.
A tag was attached to the bin and a leaflet was pushed through the door.
We put our bins out on Saturday, December 22, and they were emptied. We will put them out again on Saturday. Yes, there is a two-week gap in collections, but that seems reasonable if binmen are to be given the time off that most of the rest of us expect.
It is possible to take refuse to the waste and recycling centres if you start overflowing with rubbish.
