SIR – I am writing in response to the letter from D Rhodes (T&A, December 13).

I do not and have never driven, and I find his comments ludicrous. The bus lanes are there for a very good reason. It is quite obvious.

To me, Mr Rhodes is yet another driver who doesn’t think of anyone else, and as for the comment about taxis – what's wrong with getting an agreed fare before you set off?

Typical blinkered attitude.
