SIR – I was astounded to read in the T&A (November 19) about the pensioner being attacked by five thugs on a bus.
To some extent I can understand the driver’s position of non-involvement; you don’t go to work to get beaten up. Were there other passengers on board who could have helped? Was CCTV in operation?
It is now possible to pick up anti-social behaviour reporting forms from the police and Metro. If you witness trouble on the bus write down the incident on your card and hand it to the driver or the police.
Anti-social behaviour on public transport is being tackled. Under-cover officers ride on buses that are known for anti-social behaviour. It is important that these incidents are reported.
