SIR – Once again, Christmas is nearly upon us and once again the Post Office hasn’t come up with a plan for their loss in Christmas card postage.
Last year I wrote a letter to the T&A suggesting the Post Office introduce a special price stamp for Christmas cards, perhaps a few birthday cards would creep in, but once again nothing.
This year I have lost count of people who are refusing to pay 50p for a second-class stamp. Instead they will be ringing friends, e-mailing or using Skype.
Lower your prices, Royal Mail, and you will be amazed at the renewal of posting cards. Surely for two months of the year its better to have thousands of cards being sent than only a few hundred.
Come on, wake up to the situation.
