SIR – He may not have been everyone’s ‘cup of tea’, but the sacking of long-serving John McCririck from Channel 4 Racing (T&A, October 27) won’t have gone down well with his fans.
Well informed, he always had news to impart to the racing fraternity, which the new team of presenters, headed by Clare Balding, will be hard-pressed to emulate.
You will be missed John, warts and all.
