Tour weekend was a team effort
SIR – Tour de France organiser Gary Verity has done a good job of bringing the cycle race to Yorkshire and like millions of other Yorkshire folk I enjoyed it immensely, but is there really any need to start making him a knight of the realm?
As he will say, it was a team effort , so if there are gongs to be handed out make it a team award and not an individual one. I feel it would not be fitting.
