A NEW chief executive is set to be officially confirmed at Kirklees Council tomorrow.
It was announced in February that Jacqui Gedman was taking over the post vacated by Adrian Lythgo.
Ms Gedman has been acting chief executive since and now the personnel committee is recommending to a meeting of full council that she take over the role on a permanent basis.
This also includes the roles of electoral registration officer and returning officer. Ms Gedman (pictured) has been director of economy, environment and skills since 2011, having joined the council in 2001. She took on the additional role of assistant deputy chief executive in March 2016. An appointment She said: āIād like to thank Adrian for the way he has steered us through some difficult times.ā
