A VAN fire in a locked up compound in Cleckheaton is being treated as a suspected arson attack.

A crew from Cleckheaton Fire Station were called to the BT Telephone Exchange, Westgate, at around midnight today after a Ford Transit BT Open Reach van was on fire inside the compound.

The crew had to break off the padlock on the compound’s gate to deal with the fire.
