ROBBERS armed with a knife forced a man to the ground of his driveway and stole his car.

The 42-year-old was parking his silver Volkswagen Golf when he was approached by a man holding a knife who demanded he hand over his keys.

The victim was forced down by one of the men, who damaged his glasses and mobile phone, before getting in the vehicle with a second man and driving off.

Detectives believe the two suspects were also in the company of two other men who left the scene in another vehicle.

The man with the knife is described as between 5ft 11ins and 6ft tall, of slim to medium build and wearing a red face covering. He is spoke with a Yorkshire accent.

The other men wore dark clothing and hooded tops.

The incident happened between 6.40pm and 6.50pm on Monday in Woodlands Crescent, Gomersal.

Detective Constable Andy Clayton, of Kirklees District CID, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Woodlands Crescent area who saw anything suspicious which could be connected to this offence."

The stolen vehicle is a four door saloon, with registration B2SKP.
