A NIGHTSHIFT worker was freed by emergency services after falling between machinery at a duvet-making factory early today.
Paramedics were called to bedding specialists John Cotton at Nunbrook Mills, Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, shortly before 4am and managed to free the 65-year-old man before a technical rescue crew from Cleckheaton fire station and other fire crews from Rastrick and Mirfield arrived at the scene.
Police also attended.
A spokesman for Cleckheaton fire service said: "It looks he had fallen off the edge of a bit of a machinery and got trapped under another part of it.
"Ambulance staff had got him out and were treating him when we arrived. He had cuts but other than that we think he wasn't too badly hurt."
The injured man, who suffered a broken collar bone, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.
A police spokesman said the investigation was handed over to the Health & Safety Executive.
