A NETTO supermarket is expected to open in Cleckheaton in the early part of next year, it has been revealed.
The firm recently received full planning permission from Kirklees Council to build a store on a site at Horncastle Street and Northgate in the town, following outline permission being granted in 2010.
A further application, this time for advertising consent for store signs, is yet to be determined.
The development is expected to create 20 jobs.
A spokesman for Netto said: “We are very pleased to be opening one of our stores in Cleckheaton and look forward to being part of the local community.
"We’re still in the early stages of planning and have a launch date set for the early part next year. The store will bring 20 new jobs into the area.”
