A TEENAGER has been barred from using all taxis in West Yorkshire while awaiting sentence for refusing to pay two cab drivers while armed with a knife.
Alex Grogan admitted six offences at Bradford Crown Court today and was warned to expect a prison sentence.
He was bailed to return to the court on Thursday, June 25.
Grogan, 19, of South Parade, Cleckheaton, pleaded guilty to having a bladed article in a public place on April 22 and making off without paying a £10 taxi fare.

He also admitted threatening cab driver Mohammed Shafiq, while in possession of a knife, on April 23, causing Mr Shafiq actual bodily harm by cutting his hand with the weapon in a scuffle, a separate offence of having a bladed article on the same date, and making off without paying a £5.50 taxi fare.
Gorgan's case was adjourned until next month for the preparation of a report from the probation service.
He was told by the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC: "The odds are very heavy that you are going to get sent down for this."
Grogan must not use taxis in the county or contact either cab driver involved in his case as part of his bail conditions.
