Car set on fire in street
AN ARSONIST set fire to a car and a pile of rubbish on a Liversedge street yesterday.
Fire crews were putting out a burning Renault Megane in Firthcliffe Road when a resident alerted them to another fire nearby. The car was destroyed.
A spokesman for Cleckheaton fire station said the incidents, which happened at about 5am, were believed to be linked. He added: “The owner of the car was there. He normally puts it in the garage but on this night he didn’t.”
