Council opts in to ‘green’ home plans
KIRKLEES will soon decide whether to club together with other local authorities on a new “green” home improvement scheme.
Bosses at Kirklees Council will decide whether to join the project, which will see one company endorsed by authorities across the Leeds City Region.
In return, the company winning the contract would have to meet targets on improving the energy efficiency of homes.
Bradford Council already opted in to the scheme earlier this month.
