Teenager arrested after 74-year-old dies in collision with car
A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a woman from Cleckheaton was killed.
The 74-year-old pedestrian died after she was in collision with a Toyota Aygo car. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which happened just after 7.30pm yesterday, in Fitzwilliam Street, Huddersfield, after the Toyota left the Castlegate Loop.
Police arrested an 18-year-old man at the scene.
