A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a crash near Sutton-in-Craven.
The 24-year-old was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary but died a few hours later.
The collision happened at 2pm on Friday in Pole Road, about a mile from the junction with Green Dykes Road.
The victim β understood to be from the Lancashire area β was riding a black Sukida motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with a black car heading in the opposite direction. The bike was displaying L plates.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who can help should call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for the Major Collision Investigation Team or email MCIT@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk, quoting reference number 12140210210. A man in his 20s from the West Yorkshire area has been arrested and questioned in connection with the crash. Heβs been released on police bail while inquiries continue.
