Town 'low crime area'
OTLEY continues to be a “low crime area”, but more residents need to improve their security.
Speaking during the town’s Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators meeting, PC Dom Phillips said public awareness would ensure the town kept crime rates down. He stressed the need for garden sheds and garages to be properly secured, and for houses and cars to be locked, something often found not to be the case during police checks.
