MORRISONS is recalling its own-brand trimmed green beans after metal was found inside them.
The Bradford-based supermarket chain said the health and safety of customers is top priority and it has informed the relevant authorities.
Morrisons has been made aware of two incidents.
The metal was found in packets of the beans bought in the supermarket’s Manchester and Glasgow stores.
A spokesman for the supermarket said: “We have been made aware of two incidents involving metal being found in two packets of green beans.
“The health and safety of our customers is our top priority, so as a precaution, we are recalling the products and are continuing with our investigation.
“The relevant authorities have been informed and we are also talking to the two customers.”
Customers who have bought packets of those green beans should return them to the Morrisons branch where they were purchased to get a full refund.
