A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after being rescued from a fire at his house in Bingley today.
The 75-year-old man, who was plucked to safety by firefighters, suffered burns to his left arm and smoke inhalation.
Fire crews from Shipley, Keighley and Idle stations were called to the man's home on Unity Street South at 10.25am.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire fire service said a clothes horse that was in front of a fire had set alight.
Firefighters gave the man oxygen therapy before he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
